Wendy T. Throop, CDP, CSA

Wendy is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, a Certified Senior Advisor and has a Certificate in Gerontology.  She's a long-term resident of Marietta, where she lives with her husband Dave, and their two teen-age children.  Wendy and Dave are originally from the northeast but have called Georgia their home since 1996.  Wendy was a sales and marketing professional with IBM for 21 years.  After experiencing the challenges of Alzheimer's with two family members, she was inspired to go back to school to learn more about Dementia and the overall aging process - which propelled her to leave the corporate world and move into the Senior Care Industry.  Wendy enjoys helping families and those living with Dementia find the care they need and deserve.


John McMillon, MS


John is a Mental Health Specialist with a Master of Science, Counseling and Human Development.  John is an experienced Geripsych Program Director with a Bachelors in Psychology. He currently serves as an Adjunct Instructor at University of North Georgia.

John has been a Alzheimer's Association Support Group Facilitator for over three years and a keen knowledge in the field of senior services and working with older adults.

He is a kind and genuine professional with a depth of experience in the field of Mental Health.


Elizabeth Kleid, RN-BSN, MSN, NNP-BC

Elizabeth is a Vanderbilt University Graduate and a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of nursing experience. She is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

She and Joe met in middle school and continued a fun friendship throughout college, where they reconnected and started dating. 7 years into their marriage, they welcomed their first child in 2017.

She enjoys helping families find beneficial solutions for their loved ones dealing with the crisis of Alzheimer's and dementia.



Joe Kleid, CDP

Joe is a Christian, a husband, and a life-long advocate for seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia.  He is a Certified Dementia Practitioner with a Certificate in Gerontology and a former National Director with one of the nation's leading memory care providers.  Joe currently serves on the board of an Alzheimer's non-profit, The Laona M. Kitchen Foundation.

Joe has worked specifically with families with Alzheimer's throughout his career, and he will tell you that he has "over 30 years of Senior Living Experience" as his grandmother, Ruth, came to live with his family when he was a small child. (She later developed dementia and Alzheimer's, during his early teens.  Joe was one of her caregivers along with his mother and other family members). Her passing and influence on his life propelled him into working with other seniors and families who have been afflicted by Alzheimer's and dementia.
